"It’s often said that the measure of a person’s character is the degree of good they are doing when no one’s watching. When we didn’t have time to watch, Naomi was doing the most incredible, valuable, and helpful work for us at a key transition point in our lives. We would recommend her without hesitation."
As we began to work together, we saw that Naomi brought far more than just expertise. First, she had a commitment to enabling us to get the maximum value from our home - when to put it on the market, how to stage it, whom to show it to early, and more. There were dimensions to the sale process we had never considered, and Naomi helped us work through them in methodical fashion - and took the lead in handling all the arrangements. Second, she had a genuine, authentic desire to understand what we were looking for in a home so that she could focus our scarce "shopping” time only on properties we could envision putting an offer on. Third, she balanced efficiency with personalization in a way that I’ve not seen other agents do. She knew we had to move fast, but wasn’t willing to let us settle for anything that we’d be less than fantastically happy with. She helped us ask the questions we needed to get answers to in order to make the right decision at the right time.
We were seeking to move from a 2-bedroom home to a 3-bedroom home in anticipation of a growing family – specifically, we found out we were pregnant with twins, and our home simply didn’t have the space for a 4-person family. The biggest challenge was that we truly wanted to stay in Noe Valley. This was the initial reason we chose to work with Naomi – we knew after talking to her at open houses in Noe Valley that she had expertise in the local area – she knew the neighborhood inside and out.
We exceeded our goal for the sale value of our home. While this was certainly in part due to the overall sales climate, Naomi was able to deliver a result that out-performed the market with modest investment on our part. She achieved a tone and tenor for the staging that fit the home – given the location and structure of our home, it was important that the staging be mature but not old-world, subtly refined but not ostentatious, crisp and clean but not over-refined. She knew how to socialize the home in the right way and in the right sequence with the right agents and interested buyers, to generate awareness and build demand. She was spot on in terms of investments to make into improving the property before the sale, vs. those that might not add incremental value.
Months after the sale, we connected with the buyer, who turned out to be moving from across the country. It turned out this buyer had spent a good deal of time visiting the property and consulting with Naomi even though Naomi did not represent her – and she commented on how thoughtful and accommodating Naomi was in this process.

"A super great personality to keep you laughing through the stressful times, and firm when fighting for her clients needs, without alienating the agent on the other end of the transaction." From the moment I met Naomi, I knew she was the agent I needed. Naomi's reputation is solid, she follows through every time, and you can rely upon her to come up with the best purchasing strategy in this crazy real estate market.

Naomi listed and marketed my house in the Excelsior, which at the time, was definitely not a highly desired location. We received multiple offers and it sold for over asking price.
She understood I was looking for value - a real fixer of a home in which I could build future equity. These opportunities are exceedingly rare in San Francisco and are usually snapped up by developers, not normal folks who actually want to live in them. Naomi is relentless when it comes to finding these diamonds in the rough, and even though I was out of town when the Glen Park duplex came on the market, she conveyed the sense of urgency and I flew back, and we quickly closed the deal. Since then, the building has more than doubled in value, and more importantly, is a really happy place to live.
Even after the deal closed, Naomi still keeps me updated regularly on the SF real estate market. This is my third transaction with Naomi, and I'm certain it will not be my last, and I can without hesitation say she's the only agent I would use, and recommend her wholeheartedly!

"Naomi succeeded in doing the impossible for San Francisco: buy a home in the city for substantially under asking price while simultaneously selling our house for substantially over asking price."
She pulled it off with a single showing that generated several bids - all over asking. She held her ground on our under-bid. The new house is bigger (enabling our family of five to live in the city we love). And, meeting my dream, the house has ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and four bedrooms. It overlooks my favorite surf break, where Kelly Slater won his 11th world championship. Whales and dolphins frolic outside our windows; sailboats, surfers, and kiters glide by; and we track the sun setting on either side of the Farallones across the seasons.
Naomi was highly recommended to us by our closest friends many years ago. She helped us arrange a private sale of our home in Potrero Hill and find our lovely Noe Valley home, with an income cottage in the garden that made it feasible for us to live there. Noe was a great neighborhood for us over the dozen years our family made our home there. She knew my heart was for finding a rare beach house, and as a San Franciscan native, she knew the charming nooks where to look. When our third child and the perfect ocean view property materialized, she got our offer accepted with a contingency-for-sale of our existing home (a phenomenon almost unheard of in today's market). We knew it was time to move quickly. Here, Naomi showed her real estate chops with her up-to-date knowledge and network of resources needed to complete a successful and intricate 1031 exchange. Accomplishing the 1031 exchange (selling one primary residence with an attached income property and purchasing another of the same) meant great tax benefits for us. This was in reach only if we could close both transactions within 45 days of each other and get a sell price for our home that we and others didn't think possible. And yet, Naomi made it happen, with calm, grace, and incredible laser-like acumen. These are the traits we most appreciate in Naomi as a real estate agent.
Naomi got to work right away, guiding us on how to transform our home (having endured a dozen years of busy family living) and show it off at its best, while disclosing any issues that the new buyers would need to address. We were amazed how within the span of two+ weeks, Naomi coordinated a bevy of improvements (clear out, painting inside-and-out, windows and other repairs, lighting, and landscaping) as well as staging to showcase our gem. I should also add, Naomi accomplished all of this over the winter holidays, and I'm sure it was her amazing contacts that made this happen. When our home went on the market right after the New Year, Naomi used what we know is her sterling reputation among other agents to make sure all the right buyers saw our property, promptly. Offers came in and we got way more than we ever expected for our home.
We've recommended Naomi to friends for years now, and have always heard glowing reviews back. We recommend Naomi to anyone in need of a realtor with first-rate intelligence, effectiveness, calm, and good humor. We are perfectly set in what we call “our beach house” (as if we had others :) with plenty of space and, most importantly, a short wet-suited walk to Ocean Beach. Thank you, Naomi!

"Through both processes, we appreciated Naomi's focused approach, honest advice, sense of humor, efficiency, and sensitivity to the emotional side of these transactions."
We recently worked with Naomi to buy a home and sell our condo in a very challenging market. Naomi understands the San Francisco real estate market, and what it takes to make a competitive offer. She also understood our objectives and helped keep us on track to finding a home that we truly love. When we sold our condo, Naomi gave us solid advice on how to prepare it for market. We received multiple offers in a short timeframe and accepted an offer that was higher than we would have expected. Through both processes, we appreciated Naomi's focused approach, honest advice, sense of humor, efficiency, and sensitivity to the emotional side of these transactions. We would highly recommend working with Naomi when the time comes to buy and sell. It was a pleasure to work with her.

"She is a wonderful advocate for her clients’ needs and knows what it takes to close the deal."
When we were a couple, we owned a home in San Francisco that we loved and thought we would own for a very long time. When we quickly started a family, we needed more space. We unexpectedly found a home a few blocks away that was perfect for our needs, but we had to act very quickly. That is where Naomi came in! We saw the house on a Sunday and she had to get the offer together within a matter of hours. She did so and we got the house. We are still living in that perfect house.
What we appreciate about her:
1. She has a lot of integrity;
2. She is willing to go the extra mile, no matter what time of day or night;
3. She is a San Francisco native and knows the neighborhoods of San Francisco incredibly well;
4. She is a wonderful advocate for her clients’ needs and knows what it takes to close the deal;
5. She is a trusted friend;
We would certainly recommend Naomi as a buyers' agent or sellers’ agent.

"We are very grateful to Naomi; we feel that we are in our dream home in our neighborhood of choice, and we would not have found it without her."
Naomi was our listing agent for the sale of our condo in Noe Valley. She had been highly recommended to us by a colleague. We met with Naomi approximately six months before we ultimately decided to list our home. At that time, she gave us honest feedback about our condo and what improvements we could make to maximize its value. Naomi was professional, warm, and truly listened as we described our objectives. It was obvious that she was extremely knowledgeable about market conditions and relevant comparables in our neighborhood. She is also well connected, and was also able to refer us to competent and affordable contractors, painters, etc., to help us prepare our home to be listed. Naomi was very responsive via phone, email, and text and kept us informed every step of the way, patiently guiding us through the entire selling process – from organizing inspections and preparing disclosures to developing a comprehensive marketing plan and helping us think through the offer packages put forth by prospective buyers. In the end, she sold our condo above the asking price and succeeded at making the process as smooth as possible for us. Bottom line: Naomi was a great agent who had our best interests at heart at all times; we highly recommend her to anyone who wants to sell or buy a home in San Francisco.
After selling our condo, we quickly switched gears to finding another home, preferably in Noe Valley. We fully expected that our search would last several months given the holiday season and very low inventory of available single-family homes. However, leveraging her extensive professional network, Naomi was able to find us a home that had not yet been listed on the MLS and helped us negotiate a price that was within our range. We are very grateful to Naomi; we feel that we are in our dream home in our neighborhood of choice, and we would not have found it without her.

"Naomi is always completely honest with me, probably the trait I appreciate the most about her."
I am a long time real estate investor, having worked with many agents over the years, and Naomi is by far my favorite. My working relationship with Naomi has lasted for over 10+ years, and if not for my move to the East Bay, it would continue to this day.
The first time I met Naomi was in 2001. I was selling a 3-unit TIC building in the Mission district, and working with a different realtor at the time for the sale. Naomi represented one of the buyers for my TIC units, and was utterly ruthless in her negotiations on behalf of her clients (to my detriment). I was so impressed with Naomi’s tenacity, that I vowed to have her be my realtor from then on.
Naomi has represented me on over a dozen deals since then. This has included single family homes, multi-unit dwellings, TIC’s, both as buyer and seller. Naomi has displayed the same fierce representation for me through all of these transactions, and I have always come away from a deal knowing that she fought for me every step of the way.
Naomi is always completely honest with me, probably the trait I appreciate the most about her. When she thinks something is a bad idea, she will tell me. When I ask her a question, she tells me what thinks, not what she thinks I want to hear. She was always very proactive as well, telling me about trends in the market, upcoming changes to laws which affect me, and so on. I always felt like she was looking out for me, and had my best interest at heart.
So, if you want an honest, loyal realtor who will fight for you, and protect you, then Naomi is the agent for you. I miss her a great deal as my realtor, and wish she would move to the East Bay. Alas, she seems to still love San Francisco, but I can still hope. :-)
